The
University of Wisconsin’s Eagle Heights Community Gardens
(EHCG) was established in 1962 to offer Eagle
Heights residents, and the UW and Madison communities the opportunity
to have an organic garden and participate in garden activities. EHCG is
one of the oldest and largest community gardens in the United States.
The
South Austin Community Garden is a group of
gardeners from diverse backgrounds who share the common philosophy of
organic gardening. We have thirty-two plots where members get hands-on
experience with organic gardening in the local enviroment, share
information, harvest healthy delicious vegetables, and enjoy each
others company. We are a totally organic garden.
