"The Neighborhood's Gardening Launch Pad, from Jim Parra, of Austin's Zilker Botanical Garden, this easy-to-use site is links, nothing but links. More than 1300 of them are divided into 40-plus catgories, such as garden software or butterfilies all arranged in a grid."
Southwestern Bell Internet
James R. Parra, a dedicated Austin gardener, has created a highly
useful site for fellow Austin gardeners. Chock full of links to both
UT and A&M, as well as answers to questions such as, "How do I
deal with all that ball moss?," this site is a solid A+.
The Gardening Launch Pad (http://www.tpoint.net/neighbor/)
from Austin, Texas, has one of the largest lists of gardening links
I've found on the web. They list over 1100 web sites in 42 categories
and keep the list regularly updated.
Nov 96 Issue had this to say about The Gardening Launch Pad "
After evaluating hundreds of gardening sites on the basis of quality,
ease of navigation and depth we found The Gardening Launch Pad to be
an excellent place for the novice Web Surfer to begin searching for
gardening information. With links clearly organized into 42
catregories, including vegetables, insects and diseases, virtual
garden tours, and many species-specific pages. The GLP makes
searching for a particular topic easy"
BTW I was first on their list.
