Unisys.com The intent of this weather site is to provide a complete source of graphical weather information. This is intended to satisfy the needs of the weather professional but can be a tool for the casual user as well. The graphics and data are displayed as a meteorologist would expect to see. For the novice user, there are detailed explanation pages to guide them through the various plots, charts and images.
Utah Climate Center - The granddaddy of daily historical weather data. The Utah Climate Center has daily records for at least 5,000 locations (we lost count) spanning the globe, with some records dating back to the 19th century. If it's not on this site, it's not on the Internet. Data is current, usually to within six months, so we'd recommend it for data dating before the early 1990s.
The Weather Underground - This excellent site is old-school Internet, dating back to the early 1990s. Search for a forecast, and at the bottom of every forecast page, you'll find a drop-down menu that lets you check the daily minimum, maximum and average temperature, along with the conditions of the day. The records go from 1994 and current to within 24 hours.
NCDC Freeze/Frost Maps The National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) collects data on when first and last frosts/freezes occur across the United States and probability ranges. When data on this site indicate a greater likelihood of freeze than the USDA cold hardiness map, gardeners would be well advised to develop a strategy for protecting their frost-sensitive plants. These maps are a good starting point, but do not provide you with everything you may need to know to react.

U.S. Drought Monitor
Recent rains have little impact on drought conditions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. The U.S. Drought Monitor map, compiled by federal and academic meteorologists and updated every Thursday, gives a broad, regional look at drought conditions, and links to other drought indexes.
Much of the U. S. has been warmer in recent years, and that affects which trees are right for planting.
The National Arbor
The National Weather Service Home page This site provides up-to-the-minute listings of all National Weather Service warnings for extreme weather in the US, broken into seven categories: tornado, flash flood, winter storm, hurricane, severe thunderstorm, flood and special marine advisories.
ClimateTrend.com Reports monthly climatic data trends (high, low and average temperatures) in 30-year blocks from the year 1900 to 1990. Currently, that is all that is available, but the database notably covers most of the land on earth, interpolating data values for a 0.5 degree grid. Only seas, oceans and Antartica are excluded.
